'Turning Red' follows the uber-confident Meilin 'Mei' Lee (breakout star Rosalie Chiang), a Chinese-Canadian 13-year-old who does what she wants and says what she wants - except in the presence of her parents. It unravels the internality of a character thought to be long gone in fragments - a memory here, a melody there.
